IN SEPTEMBER 2012, the hit musical Mamma Mia! will move to its third West End home – the Novello Theatre.

The show, which is interspersed with ABBA disco classics such as Thank You For the Music, Dancing Queen, Take A Chance On Me, Super Trouper, Honey, Honey, plus the title song, opened at the Prince Edward Theatre in April 1999 before transferring to its current home, the Prince of Wales Theatre, in June 2004.

Although the production had been booking at the Prince of Wales Theatre until October 20, 2012, it will now play its final performance there on September 1.

Mamma Mia! is set on a Greek island where Sophie is preparing for her wedding day. Among the guests are three of her mother’s former lovers – there because Sophie is attempting to discover the identity of her father. Also present for the festivities are Sophie’s mother Donna, and her former band members.

The West End cast is currently led by Sally Ann Triplett (as Donna Sheridan), Joanna Monro (Rosie) and Kim Ismay (Tanya), with William Tapley (Sam Carmichael), Oliver Senton (Harry Bright), Mark Gillis (Bill Austin), Dani De Waal (Sophie Sheridan), Craig Fletcher (Sky), Hannah Fairclough (Ali), Rachel Sargent (Lisa), Warren Sollars (Pepper) and Alex Jessop (Eddie).

Crazy For You continues at the Novello Theatre until July 28, 2012.
